The Youth Dialogue is one of SKM’s flagship initiatives to reach out to youths by engaging them through a discussion of current social issues faced by the generation of today. This year’s theme revolves around the topic on Moral Values and Education, titled: “Talk Back! – Are We Moulding Our Youth the Right Way?”
From the Graciousness Index in 2015, it was concluded that parents see the need for greater involvement in imparting values to their children. In what way could this be done? What are the values youths hold dear today? Hence, this dialogue would help us understand the values that youths value, and identify the needs to be met in the aspect of moral education.
Participants will go through a facilitated discussion with a panel of experts in family and social values. This engagement will enable students to dig deeper into underlying issues of moral values and education today. It is also SKM’s hope that their opinions and views can be captured and surfaced to the relevant authorities through this platform.
With this vision, we would like to invite your school to nominate up to 10 student leaders (aged 15 & up) to attend this dialogue. Following are details for the dialogue session:
